Würth Service Supply Sets Record Sales for 2006
INDIANAPOLIS - January 15, 2007 - Today at the corporate headquarters, Würth Service Supply announced record sales for the year ended December 31, 2006. Sales of $168 million for 2006 were up 22 percent over 2005. Over the past five years Würth Service Supply has seen sales steadily climb. This year marks the fourth year in a row of double digit growth. In 2002, the company sales totaled $45 million. Over the years sales grew to $52 million, $107 million, $138 million and this year sales topped $168 million. Future plans call for steady continued growth with Würth Service Supply despite anticipated slow downs in various industry segments. Würth Service Supply President Marc Strandquist states "Our success as a company continues to be driven by our people. In 2006 Würth Service Supply expanded further geographically in North America by opening branch locations in Chicago, Illinois; St. Louis, Missouri and Macon, Georgia. In addition, they increased the sales force 20%, added to their extensive staff of engineers and developed other value added products and services in order to attract and retain customers. Recently the company filled two Director level positions. Kathy Steigers was appointed Director of Human Resources and Scott Lee was appointed Director of Engineering. The experience they bring in their fields will help Würth Service Supply accomplish their vision of “Becoming the No. 1 supplier in the eyes of our customers as the best and most qualified sales team.”
